Researchers plan to isolate naturally occurring nano-sized vesicles from high-quality royal jelly produced in Bursa and incorporate them into the hydrogel.
Once applied to the wound, the gel is designed to gradually release bioactive substances that support tissue repair, promote angiogenesis, reduce infection risk, and stimulate cellular regeneration.
Research remains at the development stage
The investigators emphasize that the project is currently in the research and development phase. Its objective is to produce an innovative biomaterial for diabetic wound care, and further laboratory and preclinical studies will be required before any potential clinical use in patients.
